Nucleus Research moved Vanguard Software into the Leaders quadrant in its 2018 edition of the Inventory Optimization Value Matrix.

Vanguard’s Forecast Server IBP cloud planning platform earned high scores for a range of capabilities, including Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization (MEIO)advanced analytics, flexibility, usability, AI-assisted automation, and more.

“Vanguard supports mobile users and allows for multi-enterprise network capabilities where users can integrate suppliers and trading partners into the planning process,” Nucleus states in its report on the 2018 Value Matrix. “The flexibility of the platform helps with user adoption, as Vanguard works closely with customers to ensure the workflow is correctly configured to the use-case. Vanguard is also providing automation capabilities based on business rules that are managed by an AI engine. Additional investments in automation will see Vanguard’s position in the Value Matrix continue to improve.”

In addition to inventory optimization, the Vanguard platform delivers the following for fully integrated business planning (IBP):

“We’ve worked hard to build the best forecasting and planning platform on the market, so it is an honor and a pleasure to be recognized as a leader by such an authoritative source,” said Neal Goffman, VP of Sales & Marketing for Vanguard Software.

Goffman noted that with substantial investment, Vanguard continues to push Forecast Server even further ahead of the market in balancing advanced-analytic forecasting and planning with expert process engineering and a workflow design. He said the double-barreled approach helps non-expert knowledge workers collaborate efficiently, enterprise-wide.
