Global Vision – On-Premises to Pure Cloud
Vanguard Software’s IBP cloud platform is available as both a cloud and on-premises solution, depending on your specific data integration requirements. Either way, your users enjoy the same, 100-percent browser-based experience. Also, Vanguard offers server management services with the on-premises option to minimize the burden on your IT staff.
In addition to the usual advantages of cloud-based software, such as faster implementation, lower up-front costs, and lower total cost of ownership, Vanguard’s cloud option offers a higher level of performance and reliability than you are likely to achieve with any on-premise solution.
Vanguard’s cloud network consists of five data centers with sites in Frankfurt Germany, Sydney Australia, Oregon, Virginia, and North Carolina. When you log into Vanguard you are directed to the data center that provides the best performance given your location and current system loading. Any change you make on any server is replicated worldwide within seconds. This means a user in Europe can collaborate in real-time with a user in the U.S., even though they work on different servers in different data centers. Depending on your location, you could see latency times improve by up to 10X over a single, central server setup.
Unlike most Cloud systems where data is stored centrally, creating a single point of failure, our system is a true mesh network where we will be down only if all data centers are down simultaneously. If the data center nearest to you cannot be reached, you will be routed to the next best center where all of your data will be completely up-to-date. This gives us an effective availability that is as close to 100% as is technically possible.
Multiple Language Support
Vanguard Software’s IBP cloud platform supports 104 different languages, even including right-to-left reading languages and those with special character sets. What’s more, Vanguard supports all languages simultaneously in each account. This means each user in your account can choose to use the language that is most familiar to them.
