Vanguard Software signed a deal with Tarte Cosmetics to bring cloud-based analytics and automation to the beauty company’s global supply chain.
Tarte execs say the move will ultimately consolidate a wide range of activities on a single platform, including demand forecasting, inventory optimization, replenishment planning, component purchasing, and more. The company, whose sales volumes have grown rapidly in the past three years, “is eager to implement a robust enterprise-grade, all-in-one solution,” said Michael Lavelle, Executive Director of Planning & Allocation. He said he expects Vanguard will significantly improve accuracy and supply chain coordination, as well as dramatically reduce inventory. The cosmetics company picked Vanguard Software from a diverse pool of competing solutions for its end-to-end supply chain capability, as well as its ease-of-use.
“Vanguard most clearly demonstrated the ability to bring together both ends of our business: the demand planning side, and production and supply planning side,” Lavelle said. “It was the most holistic approach that we saw.”
Tarte products are sold globally online and through retailers including Sephora, Ulta, Macy’s, QVC, and more.
