Getting Data into DecisionPro
The first step in performing an analysis on historical or
experimental data is to get the data into DecisionPro.
If you have a small number of data items, probably the easiest
way to get the data into DecisionPro is to type it into a node
definition. You create a list inside a node by enclosing the data
in brackets [ ], and separating data items with commas.
If you have a large amount of data, the easiest way to get the
data into DecisionPro is to use the Import Wizard. You
access this tool by clicking Import Wizard in the Data
menu.
This tool gives you access to a wide variety of methods for
importing data and establishing dynamic links with databases and
other applications. Specifically, the Import Wizard
supports:
o Clipboard copy and paste
o File export and import
o Data tables
o DDE
o ODBC / SQL
o Web-based queries
