Vanguard Software Offers Enterprise Simulation Workshop at 2007 Winter Simulation Conference

Demonstrates New Software's Capacity for Large-scale Monte Carlo Simulations with Supercomputing Runtimes

Cary, NC – December 10, 2007 – Vanguard Software presented a workshop entitled Using the Vanguard System™ for Enterprise Simulation to industry practitioners and academic researchers attending the 2007 Winter Simulation Conference (WSC) in Washington, D.C. In addition to co-sponsoring and exhibiting at the conference, Vanguard Software's VP of Professional Services, Brian Lewis, who has a doctorate in Operational Research, provided this workshop to showcase the Vanguard System's ground-breaking capabilities and power. The WSC is the premier international forum for disseminating recent advances in the field of System Simulation, and it attracts hundreds of attendees from around the world each year. Other speakers at the conference included Susan Smyth, Chief Scientist for Global Manufacturing at General Motors and Director of Manufacturing Systems Lab in GM R&D, and John Deal, Vice President of the Systems Engineering Electronics and Integrated Solutions Operating Group of BAE Systems.
