University of Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina) Joins the Vanguard Academic Partnership Program

Eight Faculty Members and Fourteen Courses will use Vanguard System™

Cary, NC – November 16, 2007 – Vanguard Software Corporation, the leader in management systems for planning, analysis and knowledge automation, has partnered with the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina through the Vanguard Academic Partnership Program. In support of the University's participation, Vanguard Software is donating licenses for the new Vanguard System. So far, eight faculty members have expressed interest in using the Vanguard System, and 14 courses have been identified as candidates for teaching the Vanguard System. The courses range from “Business Decisions” to “Investment and Project Management” to “Quantitative Methods in Decision Making”.

"Thanks to Vanguard Software, students of the Faculty of Economics in Tuzla will be able, for the first time, to use decision support software in their learning process. Students will now be able to expand their knowledge in business decisions, investment and project management, and quantitative methods in decision making,” said Dr. Bahrija Umihanic, Professor on the Faculty of Economics. “Our students can be much more confident in their individual competitiveness. This is very important; especially for our graduates who now have an opportunity to see how complex business problems can be solved by using the appropriate software. We are proud that our students will be able to combine theory with practice and therefore indirectly have influence on future Bosnian business practice.”
