Scenario Manager
The Scenario Manager is used to create a set of node
definitions that represent different scenarios for model input
values. For example, you can create best-, worst-, and
typical-case assumptions for input values. Then, as you change
your model, you can recall each of these scenarios to see how the
model behaves under different conditions. You can recall
scenarios in combination, such as, best-case sales and worst-case
costs.
To create a scenario:
1) In the Tools menu, click Scenario.
2) Enter a list of node definitions in the Value
assignments edit field.
3) Click the Store button to name and save the
scenario.
4) Enter a name for the scenario in the Store dialog
box.
5) Click OK to close the Store dialog box.
6) Click OK to activate the current scenario.
In the Value assignments box you enter a set of node
definitions that will replace existing nodes. Press ENTER at the
end of each line to start a new definition. For example, the
following group of assignments can represent a single scenario:
Units:=2000
Price:=100
COGS:=Sales*70%
When you activate a new scenario, DecisionPro simply creates
each node as specified in the Value Assignments edit box.
Existing nodes with the same name are replaced.
To recall a saved scenario:
1) In the Tools menu, click Scenario.
2) Click the Recall button.
3) Highlight or type the name of the scenario to recall and
click OK.
4) Click OK.
